Mother Willie Mae Colbert
Mother Colbert is old and she is ready to go home to be with the Lord. One thing is stopping her, knowing that one last daughter has not given her life to Christ. All of her family agrees to go to church with her on Resurrection Sunday, including the unsaved daughter. Will that daughter give her life to Christ so that her mother can go home for her eternal rest?

Janet Colbert
Janet is unsaved. Although she grew up in the church, she never gave her life to Christ. She comes to the New Tabernacle of Praise Baptist Church because of her family's insistence. Is Resurrection Sunday the Sunday that she comes to the Lord?

Ronnie Napier
Ronnie has been looking for a wife for awhile. He has seen a woman that he would like to get to know better, but she doesn’t' give him the time of day. She thinks that he is just another thugged out guy because of his appearance at work. He is a member of the church she attends on Resurrection Sunday. She will finally get to see what kind of man he is outside of work.

Lela Rhineholt
Lela has set her sites on the new pastor of the New Tabernacle of Praise Baptist Church. She wants to be his wife. He hasn't paid her any attention, but she has a plan to get his attention. On Resurrection Sunday, she finally realizes that God has a mate for her; she just has to wait for him.

David Victor Lyons, III
David Victor left a life that was headed towards death and relocated to the city of Jouette. He has no family. He is all alone until he meets a deacon at the New Tabernacle of Praise Baptist Church at his job. David Victor finally agrees to accept the deacons numerous invitations to the church. On Resurrection Sunday, David will find out that he has a family, and that family is in Jesus.

Mikala Neu
Mikala is a 16 year-old young lady. She is a tomboy. All she wants in life is to be left alone. So what if she isn't a girlie girl. So what if she doesn't like the color pink. So what if she doesn't like dresses. God loves her just the same. On Resurrection Sunday, Mikala's prayers will finally be answered.

Michelle Neu
Michelle is a former model and the mother of Mikala. She wishes Mikala would be more feminine. Michelle is always on Mikala's case to be more feminine. On Resurrection Sunday, Michelle will realize, God loves her daughter just the way she is and that she should love her daughter that same way.

Ramona Hauley
Ramona is dying of cancer. She is as happy as she can be despite her condition. She gets her wish, to attend the Resurrection Sunday service at her church, New Tabernacle of Praise Baptist Church. She gets another blessing on that Sunday; her sister rededicates her life to Christ.

Amanda Jean Roberson
Amanda is Ramona's sister. She had watched her sister wither away and still praise God. Amanda doesn't understand Ramona's joy and has given up on God. When Amanda attends church with her sister, she experiences God's love for her once again and rededicates her life back to Him.

Ray Johnson
Ray owns RayRay's Men's Store. He is a successful business man, catering to famous men all over the state. He has some reservations about the new pastor's abilities, especially when the pastor has a chance to compel a professional basketball player to come to the church. Ray will soon find out that the young pastor knows how to do his job.

Udetta Johnson
Udetta owns Udetta's. Udetta's is a famous women's clothing store in the state. She loves God, her family, and her friends. Udetta sees a change in her husband's attitude toward the new young pastor of New Tabernacle of Praise Baptist Church.

Marquis Moore
Marquis is a rookie that plays for the Jouette Doggs. The professional basketball team in the city. He hasn't been to church since he graduated high school. He has been hurt by the church in the past. He meets the new pastor of New Tabernacle of Praise Baptist Church and the pastor invites him to church. On Resurrection Sunday, Marquis rediscovers the Lord's love and learns that church people aren't as bad as he thinks they are.

Ronnie Winchell
He is a guy that everyone misjudges because he wears a gold tooth. He had money, but no woman will give him the time of day. He is lonely since the death of his wife, three years ago. A neighbor of his has often invited him to New Tabernacle of Praise Baptist Church. He decides to attend. On Resurrection Sunday, he sees the woman that he has been interested in all along. Perhaps, she will give him the time of day at the church.

I decided to use some pictures for some of the characters (major ones). The images are pictures from a clip art collection.

Precious Devereux

Precious is the female main character. After having been hurt in church when she was younger, she hasn't been to church since the age of 18. She looks for love in the wrong places. She meets the new pastor of a church in the city. After talking with him for awhile, she makes her mind up to "meet" him. When she goes to church on Resurrection Sunday, she meets Jesus instead and her life is changed forever.

Pastor Brock Van Duren

Brock is the newly appointed pastor of the New Tabernacle of Praise Baptist Church in the city of Jouette. He has to deal with some obstacles, the main one being his age. He is only 25 years-old. Most of his congregation is older than him. When he meets a sexy lady at the mall during Resurrection weekend, he must keep his mind focused on what God has called him to do instead of the woman that he has met.

Alexia Trudeau

Alexia is Precious' aunt. Oddly enough, they are only a few months apart in age. Alexia is Precious' self-appointed guardian angel. Alexia has let a past indiscretion hold her hostage and made her feel as if she has to protect her niece. On Resurrection Sunday, she will learn a lesson that is long overdue.

Boyd Lee Allen

Boyd is Brock's bestfriend. They have known each other since the 3rd grade. Boyd has held himself hostage to being Brock's protector because of an accident that happened in the past. Boyd has never forgiven himself. On Resurrection Sunday, Boyd will learn how to forgive himself and be free of the guilt he has carried all these years.
