2/14/2006 Pork Chops & Potato: Recipe

1 ½ cups chicken stock
1 ½ cups Vidalia Creamy Onion Dressing
1 large onion
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon sugar
2 baking potatoes
3 tablespoons garlic powder
3 tablespoons onion powder
3 tablespoons parsley
4 pats of butter
6 Pork Chops

  1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees.

  2. Cut up onion into strips.

  3. Peel and slice potatoes into thick fries.

  4. Slightly rinse the pork chops.

  5. Place pork chops, onions, and potatoes into a bowl.

  6. Pour all dry seasonings over the mixture above.

  7. Mix the mixture until everything is covered in the dry ingredients.

  8. Place mixture into a big baking pan.

  9. Pour the chicken stock over the mixture, making sure to cover everything.

  10. Place the pats of butter on the top of the meat, potatoes, and onions.

  11. Bake in the oven for 30 minutes.

  12. After 30 minutes, remove pan from oven and pour the Vidalia Creamy Onion Dressing over the meat, potatoes, and onions.

  13. Stir the mixture.

  14. Place the pan bake into the oven and bake for 45 minutes.  (You can bake the dish until the potatoes and meat is as tender as you want them to be.)

The butter may be left out if you want it to be.
